CIL + Metadata > Executable Program

Abstract

In the .NET environment information about types and their structure is available and used for many purposes. Availability of the socalled metadata is an essential criteria of .NET. The authors have developed a compiler to translate .NET assemblies into programs for a Lego Mindstorms robot.
