Classification of model refactoring approaches

Abstract

The majority of previous research on refactoring focus on the code level and are less concerned with the earlier stages of design. A promising approach is to deal with refactoring in language independent way. It offers a solution to the reuse possibilities in the development of the refactoring primitives when they are adapted to new languages.
