Dear Readers,

Richard Wiener,
Editor- in-Chief

Happy holidays!

JOT begins its 2007 publication year with four columns and a book review in addition to five feature-length papers. I am particularly grateful to our columnists for taking time from their travel and vacation schedules to meet our publication deadline. One of columnists wrote his column while enroute on the long flight to Perth Australia . As pointed out before, JOT has not missed a single issue since its inception and this is in large measure attributable to our columnists not missing their deadlines. Thank you!

The testing of aspect-oriented programs, concurrent UML, software metrics, software reuse and a rules framework are the topics discussed in our feature-length papers presented in this issue. I hope you will find these papers useful as we start the year 2007.

Best regards,

Richard Wiener
